How to Share Your Feedback Link

Public feedback boards have shareable URLs that anyone can use to submit feedback. This guide shows you how to get and share your feedback link.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

  • You must have a project with at least one feedback board
  • The board must be set to Public visibility
  • You need to be signed in as a team member

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Your Project

From the sidebar, click Projects and select the project with your feedback board.

Step 2: Go to the Feedback Tab

Click the Feedback tab to view your feedback boards and submissions.

Step 3: Select the Public Board

Use the board selector dropdown to choose the public board you want to share.

Step 4: Copy the Link

Look for the Share button or link icon near the board name. Click it to reveal the public URL. Options include:

  • Copy Link - Copies the URL to your clipboard
  • Open in New Tab - Preview what visitors will see

The URL format is: yoursite.com/p/project-slug/board-slug

Expected Result

You now have a URL that:

  • Anyone can visit without signing in
  • Shows a clean feedback submission form
  • Accepts bug reports, ideas, and questions
  • Rate-limits submissions to prevent abuse

Where to Share Your Link

In Your Product

Add a feedback link to your app's help menu, settings page, or footer:

Include the link in customer communications:

On Social Media

Share the link when requesting input:

Add to your docs or README:

Found a bug? Have a feature request? [Submit feedback](https://yoursite.com/p/project/board)

Customizing Your Slug

The default slug is generated from your board name. To customize it:

  1. Go to board settings (via Manage Boards)
  2. Edit the board
  3. Change the Slug field
  4. Save changes

Custom slugs help create memorable URLs like:

  • /p/my-app/feedback instead of /p/my-app/general-feedback-1234567890
  • /p/my-app/beta for beta testing
  • /p/my-app/bugs for bug reports

Troubleshooting

"Board not found" when visiting the link

Check that:

  • The board is set to Public visibility
  • The project slug and board slug are correct
  • The board is in Active status (not closed or archived)

Link shows "Private board"

The board visibility is set to Private. Edit the board and change visibility to Public.

Old link stopped working

If you changed the slug, old URLs will break. Consider:

  • Keeping the original slug
  • Updating any shared links with the new URL

Security Notes

Rate Limiting

Public submissions are rate limited to 5 per hour per IP address. This prevents spam without blocking legitimate users.

Contact Information

Guest submitters can optionally provide name and email. This information is:

  • Stored securely in your database
  • Used only for follow-up communication
  • Not shared with third parties

IP Tracking

IP addresses are logged for abuse prevention. This helps identify patterns if spam occurs.
