How to Customize Your Profile

Make your profile stand out with custom branding, organized sections, and compelling calls-to-action. This guide covers all customization options.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

• You must have a published public profile (see How to publish your profile)
• Access to profile settings

Steps

Step 1: Open Profile Customization

1. Go to Profile in your settings
2. Click Customize or Edit Profile

Step 2: Update Your Hero Section

The hero is the first thing visitors see:

Step 3: Organize Your Skills

Add and organize your skill tags:

1. Click Add Skill
2. Search for technologies, tools, or competencies
3. Drag to reorder by prominence
4. Group into categories (optional)

Step 4: Configure Service Sections (If Applicable)

If you offer services:

1. Enable the Services section
2. Add each service with:
   • Name
   • Description
   • Optional pricing indicator
   • CTA link

Step 5: Customize Project Display

Connect your online presence:

1. Find the Social Links section
2. Add links to:
   • GitHub
   • LinkedIn
   • Twitter/X
   • Personal website
   • Other platforms

Step 7: Set Up Contact Options

Configure how visitors reach you:

• Contact CTA — Button text and destination
• Email Display — Show email or hide behind form
• Calendar Link — Direct booking (Calendly, Cal.com, etc.)

Step 8: Save and Preview

1. Click Save Changes
2. Click View Profile to see the result
3. Adjust as needed

Expected Result

After customization:

• Your profile reflects your personal brand
• Visitors see organized, professional presentation
• CTAs guide visitors to take action
• Social links connect your online presence

Troubleshooting

Cover image looks cropped

Ensure your image matches the recommended dimensions (1200x400px). The system crops to fit on different devices.

Skills not saving

Check that:

• You're selecting from valid options
• You haven't exceeded the skill limit
• The page fully loaded before editing

CTAs not working

Verify:

• URLs are complete (include https://)
• External links aren't blocked by ad-blockers
• Button text isn't empty

Changes not appearing

Try:

• Hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R)
• Clear browser cache
• Check in incognito mode
