How to Browse Playbooks
This guide shows you how to find playbooks that match your goals using the playbook directory.
Prerequisites
- None — the playbook directory is public and accessible to everyone
Steps
1. Navigate to the Playbooks Directory
Go to the playbooks page at /playbooks. You'll see a grid of available playbooks, each displayed as a card with:
- Icon and title
- Brief description
- Difficulty level badge
- Category tags
- Phase and task counts
- Estimated duration
2. Filter by Category
If you're looking for playbooks in a specific area:
- Look at the category chips at the top of the page
- Click a category to filter (e.g., "Product Launch", "SaaS", "Marketing")
- The grid updates to show only matching playbooks
- Click the category again or select "All" to remove the filter
3. Review Playbook Statistics
Each playbook card shows key statistics:
| Stat | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Phases | Number of stages in the playbook |
| Tasks | Total actionable items |
| Duration | Estimated time to complete |
| Difficulty | Skill level (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) |
| Uses | How many times the playbook has been applied |
Use these to gauge whether a playbook fits your timeline and experience level.
4. View Playbook Details
Click on any playbook card to open its detail page. Here you'll find:
- Full description of what the playbook covers
- Complete list of phases with expandable task lists
- Detailed task descriptions and time estimates
- Category links to find related playbooks
- "Use This Playbook" button to apply it
5. Expand Phases to Preview Tasks
On the detail page, each phase appears as an accordion:
- Click a phase title to expand it
- Review the tasks within that phase
- Read task descriptions to understand what's involved
- Collapse and expand different phases to get the full picture
