How to Add Projects to Your Profile

Your public profile can showcase selected projects to demonstrate your skills and experience. This guide shows you how to add and arrange projects on your profile.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

• You must have a published public profile
• You need at least one project to add
• Projects must be marked as public to appear

Steps

Step 1: Make Projects Public

First, ensure the projects you want to showcase are public:

1. Go to Projects in the sidebar
2. Open the project you want to feature
3. Go to Settings
4. Set visibility to Public
5. Save changes

Step 2: Navigate to Profile Settings

1. Go to your Profile settings
2. Find the Projects or Portfolio section

Step 3: Select Projects to Display

Depending on your setup:

Automatic Display

All public projects appear automatically. You can:

• Reorder them by dragging
• Feature specific projects
• Hide projects you don't want shown

Manual Selection

1. Click Add Project
2. Choose from your public projects
3. Click Add to include it

Step 4: Arrange Project Order

Control how projects are displayed:

1. Drag and drop to reorder
2. Pin important projects to appear first
3. Use the Featured toggle for hero placement

Step 5: Optimize Project Presentation

For each project on your profile, ensure:

1. Click Preview to see your profile
2. Check project layout and order
3. Click Save Changes

Expected Result

After adding projects:

• Projects appear in your chosen order
• Featured projects are prominently displayed
• Each project links to its public page
• Tech stack tags show your skills

Troubleshooting

Project doesn't appear in selection

The project may be:

• Set to private — change visibility in project settings
• Part of a team you're not currently viewing
• Archived — unarchive it first

Projects show but look incomplete

Enhance the project's profile display:

1. Add a portfolio/cover image
2. Write a result blurb
3. Add tech stack tags
4. Ensure description is filled in

Order keeps resetting

Make sure you:

• Click Save after reordering
• Don't have a sort preference that overrides manual order
• Wait for the save to complete before navigating away

Featured project not displaying correctly

Check that:

• The project has a cover image
• The featured toggle is enabled
• You've saved your profile settings
